Summary:
-
Designs avionics and electrical systems for VIP/VVIP aircraft, including cabin components, in-flight entertainment, communication systems, LED lighting, and power systems.

Ensures compliance with customer criteria, FAA regulations, quality standards, budgets, and schedules.

Develops basic and advanced avionics designs, including wire diagrams and routing using engineering drafting tools.

Defines electrical system architecture for VIP/VVIP aircraft.

Prepares drawing lists and verifies completed drawing packages for STC-level projects.

Creates and executes verification and test procedures to meet FAA design requirements.
-
Provides liaison support during system installation, troubleshooting issues, and updating drawings.

Interfaces with customers, FAA designees, and vendors to meet design requirements.

Assists in project cost and schedule estimates to ensure milestone accuracy.

Prepares design checklists, templates, and other required processes.

Coordinates closely with project engineers to adhere to budgets and timelines.
Required Skills:
-
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering preferred, with 5+ years of relevant aerospace experience or equivalent education/experience.

Strong technical knowledge of Boeing aircraft for VIP and/or commercial models.

Proficient in My Boeing Fleet for OEM data sets and CAD systems.

In-depth knowledge of power distribution, certification processes, and electrical design.

Experience troubleshooting electrical systems and creating design layouts.

Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to meet physical requirements (e.g., lifting up to 25 pounds, extended sitting).

Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR regulations.

Preferred: Aircraft interior and/or VIP retrofit experience.

Travel may be required.

Work outside core hours may be necessary.
