Summary:
-
Designs advanced avionics systems for VIP/VVIP aircraft, including cabin components, in-flight entertainment, communication systems, LED lighting, and power systems, ensuring compliance with FAA requirements, customer criteria, budgets, and schedules.

Develops avionics and electrical designs, including wire diagrams and preliminary routing using CAD tools.

Defines system architecture for VIP/VVIP aircraft and creates project-level STC drawing lists.

Reviews and approves drawing packages for release.

Creates and executes FAA-compliant verification and test procedures.
-
Supports system installation, resolves design issues, and updates drawings to meet schedules.

Interfaces with customers, FAA designees, and vendors to ensure compliance with requirements.

Assists with estimating project hours and scheduling milestones.

Prepares design checklists, templates, and processes.
-
Coordinates with project engineers to manage schedules and budgets.

Maintains regular attendance and performs other assigned duties.
Required Skills:
-
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering preferred, with 5+ years of aerospace experience or equivalent.

Extensive knowledge of Boeing aircraft (VIP/commercial models).

Proficiency in My Boeing Fleet for OEM data, power distribution, and certification processes.

Experience with CAD tools, data management systems, and troubleshooting electrical systems.

Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to meet physical demands (lifting up to 25 pounds, extended sitting).

Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR regulations.

Preferred: Aircraft interior and VIP retrofit experience.

Travel and flexible work hours may be required.
