Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Database Administrator (MX) to join our dynamic IT team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL database management, with a focus on maximizing performance, ensuring data integrity, and implementing best practices.
The role will primarily involve working with SQL Server databases in a mixed (MX) environment, requiring a deep understanding of database architecture, optimization, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Database Management:

  • Design, implement, and maintain SQL Server databases in a mixed (MX) environment.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure high availability and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with developers to design and implement efficient database schemas and queries.
  1. Security and Compliance:

    • Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard sensitive data.
    • Ensure databases comply with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular security audits and implement necessary enhancements.
  2. Backup and Recovery:

    • Develop and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies.
    • Perform regular database backups and test recovery procedures to minimize downtime.
  3. Troubleshooting and Optimization:

    • Diagnose and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
    • Optimize queries and database performance to enhance overall system efficiency.
  4. Documentation:

    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator, specifically in a mixed (MX) environment.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL Server database management and optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of database security, backup, and recovery procedures.
  • Familiarity with data protection regulations and industry compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.
