Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:

Architect and Design Deployment Solutions: Design robust, scalable, and secure deployment architectures leveraging AWS services, CloudFormation, and modern deployment strategies such as Blue/Green and canary releases.

CI/CD Pipeline Development: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, Groovy, and other automation tools to ensure efficient and reliable deployments.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Architect and automate infrastructure provisioning using CloudFormation, ensuring compliance with best practices and optimising resource utilisation.

Production Deployment: Manage and oversee deployment processes to production environments, ensuring zero downtime using techniques like Blue/Green deployment. Lead the orchestration of automated deployments across multiple environments.

Security Hardening: Implement security best practices within CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards for secure and resilient systems.

Artefact Management: Utilize JFrog for artifact management and ensure proper versioning, storage, and security of build artefacts across environments.

Collaboration with Development and Testing Teams: Work closely with development, operations, and QA teams to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of new features and bug fixes into production.

Performance Monitoring & Optimisation: Implement monitoring and alerting systems for production environments, ensuring system performance and availability. Identify bottlenecks and drive optimisation efforts.

Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to DevOps engineers, promoting best practices in automation, deployment, and system architecture.

Requirements:

Extensive AWS Experience: Proficient in using AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, Budget and Pricing etc.) to design and manage scalable and fault-tolerant infrastructure.

Jenkins and Groovy Expertise: Hands-on experience with Jenkins and Groovy for CI/CD pipeline automation, customisation, and optimisation.

CloudFormation: Deep understanding of CloudFormation for managing AWS infrastructure as code.

Experience with JFrog: Strong experience in managing build artefacts, repositories, and deployments using JFrog.

Production Deployment Expertise: Proven experience with large-scale production deployments, including expertise in Blue/Green and canary deployments.

Kubernetes Expertise: Deep experience with deploying, managing, and scaling Kubernetes clusters, including networking, storage, and security configurations.

Automation Focus: Strong focus on automation at all stages of the SDLC, from infrastructure provisioning to application deployment.

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in dynamic environments.

Excellent Communication: Ability to clearly communicate architectural designs, technical concepts, and deployment strategies to cross-functional teams.
