Job Description:
As an Azure DevOps Engineer & Administrator, you will lead the design, administration, and optimization of DevOps platforms to support secure, scalable, and compliant cloud solutions. You will play a critical role in managing CI/CD pipelines, enhancing developer productivity, and ensuring adherence to security and governance standards in a regulated government environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain Azure DevOps Services including Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, and Test Plans.
  • Manage GitHub Enterprise environments including repositories, permissions, and integrations.
  • Configure branch policies, security groups, service connections, and agent pools.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines and GitHub Actions.
  • Integrate pipelines with cloud services such as Azure App Services, AKS, Functions, SQL, and Key Vault.
  • Implement governance, auditing, and security best practices across DevOps platforms.
  • Support migration and integration between Azure DevOps and GitHub platforms.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams for compliance, vulnerability management, and monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex pipeline, deployment, and infrastructure issues.
  • Document DevOps processes, standards, and operational procedures.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub Enterprise administration.
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using YAML and automation frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles, Git workflows, and release management.
  • Experience implementing secure DevOps practices in regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of RBAC, access control, and security compliance frameworks.
  • Experience integrating DevOps pipelines with Azure cloud services.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with development, infrastructure, and security teams.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and mentoring capabilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting cloud modernization and migration initiatives.
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot for development workflows.
  • Experience working within government or compliance-driven environments.
  • Knowledge of advanced automation and platform engineering practices.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
