Azure Engineer About The Job

We are seeking an experienced Azure Engineer with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in managing and optimizing Azure-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure Operations, including deployment, monitoring, and management of cloud resources, and experience with Office 365. Industry experience is preferred. This role requires a deep understanding of Azure services, infrastructure management, and cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy and manage Azure-based infrastructure solutions to meet the organization's needs.
• Oversee the administration and optimization of Office 365 environments, ensuring seamless integration with Azure services.
• Implement and manage virtual networks, VPNs, ExpressRoute and other network solutions within Azure.
• Automate deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure DevOps.
• Monitor and optimize Azure resources for performance, cost and security using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights.
• Manage Azure Active Directory (AAD) and integrate it with on-premises Active Directory and other identity solutions.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness of cloud infrastructure, implementing backup strategies and failover mechanisms.
• Perform regular security assessments, manage security groups and enforce compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, GDPR).
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Azure infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Stay current with Azure updates, new services and best practices and implement them as appropriate.

• Office 365 Administration: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams.
• Network Management: VPN, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, Traffic Manager, Network Security Groups (NSG).
• Automation Tools: ARM Templates, Terraform, Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Ansible.
• Identity Management: Azure Active Directory (AAD), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO).
• Security and Compliance: Azure Security Center, Azure Policy, Azure Key Vault, Azure Sentinel.
• Monitoring and Analytics: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Azure Cost Management.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, Geo-Redundancy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven 5 year industry experience in managing and optimizing Azure infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Office 365 administration and integration with Azure services.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar are a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
