Our partner is seeking a Back End Software Engineer II for a remote position based in San Diego, CA. This role involves analyzing, designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using Microsoft technologies with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot software applications.
  • Perform routine programming assignments under supervision.
  • Develop an understanding of assigned applications, internal customer areas, and general business knowledge.
  • Follow departmental procedures, programming standards, and training materials.
  • Conduct unit testing as applicable.
  • Provide time estimates for tasks and compare estimates to actual time spent to improve accuracy.
  • Recommend improvements to applications.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Mentor junior programmers.
  • Refactor legacy components as needed.
  • Communicate directly with product owners and end users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience; high school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in computer programming with expertise in ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#, SQL.
  • Experience in web development programming in a client/server setup.
  • Proficiency in relational database design, writing queries, and stored procedures with MySQL or Microsoft SQL.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in coding.
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Analysis and Development in large enterprise applications.
  • Experience with web services preferred.
  • Knowledge of XSLT and XML required.
  • Experience with HTTP, C#, and SQL optimization.
  • Ability to interact positively, maintain cooperative relationships, and display excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication skills for effective organization, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
  • Exercise strict confidentiality in all matters.
