Title: Backend Developer (Java)
Location: McLean, VA (Primary) or Wilmington, DE (Secondary) - Hybrid
Duration: 8 Months(Possible Extention)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our team and support data integration and processing initiatives within the C1 ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Apache Spark, and AWS services (including Step Functions, Glue, and Lambda), with hands-on experience in building and maintaining ETL pipelines for large-scale data environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Manage secure file transfers from clients and ensure successful ingestion into the C1 ecosystem.
• Develop and optimize backend services and workflows using Java and Spark.
• Leverage AWS services such as Step Functions, Glue, and Lambda to orchestrate and automate data processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, scalability, and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data processing issues within the C1 environment.
• Follow best practices in coding, version control, and data governance.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in backend or data engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Java and Apache Spark for data processing.
• Strong experience with AWS tools: Step Functions, Glue, Lambda, and related services.
• Hands-on experience with ETL design, development, and automation.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
