Backend Java Developer plus QA

This is a hybrid role, working 2 days per week onsite in our client’s Chicago office, 40 hours per week total. What You’ll Do Engineer secure, scalable, and reliable technology solutions with a high degree of autonomy. Develop clean, modular, and production‑ready code for critical applications. Design and implement application modules and comprehensive unit tests. Contribute to the debugging and design of automated test frameworks. Conduct thorough system‑wide and integration testing to ensure robust performance. Apply strong language proficiency to design with guidance and code independently. Create and maintain essential test artifacts, facilitating artifact reviews. Must‑Have Qualifications At least 5 years of professional experience in software development. Strong expertise in core Java and backend development. Proven industry experience with core Java and multithreading. Solid UNIX knowledge. Experience with automation testing, specifically using Cucumber. Demonstrated experience working in a Continuous Integration environment, utilizing tools like Jenkins and Ansible. Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud.
