Position Summary

Knollwood Country Club is seeking an experienced and service-driven Banquet Manager to oversee the execution of private events, and club-hosted activities. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless event operations, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and leading banquet staff with a strong focus on hospitality, organization, and attention to detail.


Compensation

Base salary of $60,000, with strong earning potential up to $95,000 including commission opportunities tied to event performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all banquet and event operations from setup through execution and breakdown
  • Serve as the primary point of contact during events to ensure a high level of service and guest satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the Events/Private Events Director, Culinary Team, and Club Leadership on event planning and execution
  • Manage banquet staff scheduling, training, and performance to ensure service standards are met
  • Ensure proper room setup, décor, and service flow align with event specifications
  • Monitor event timelines and proactively address any service or operational issues
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation in all event spaces
  • Oversee inventory and ensure proper use and care of banquet equipment and supplies
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and developing banquet team members
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations


Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of banquet or event management experience, preferably in a private club, hotel, or high-end hospitality environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
