Job Overview:
As a Banquet Coordinator at Dancing Marlin Restaurant, you will play a crucial role in orchestrating private events, weddings, and gatherings, both on site and off site, ensuring our guests experience the same level of excellence that defines our restaurant. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our banquet services and be a part of a dynamic culinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with clients to understand their vision for events hosted at Dancing Marlin.
Coordinate all aspects of banquets, including menu planning, venue setup, and service execution.
Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing attentive and personalized service throughout the event planning process.
Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure menu selections and presentations meet the highest standards.
Manage relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts to secure the best services within budget.
Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing environment.
Develop and manage event budgets, keeping a keen eye on costs and revenue goals.
Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and continuously improve our banquet services.
Coordinate with the restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations during events.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in event coordination, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Passion for providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic event planning software.
