DESCRIPTION
Have UAPs doing safety checks. 25 bed capacity currently. Use BH Psychiatrist/APP Hospitalist model. Unit was built specifically for Behavioral Health Patient population rather than retro fitted. BLS is only required certification. We use MANDT as the Aggression Management program. Already having de-escalation training is a plus.
Provides nursing cares for Inpatients with mental illness. This may include patients experiencing Suicidal Ideation, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, General Anxiety Disorder, PTSD, Drug-Induced Psychotic Disorder, Bipolar, and Depression. Responsibilities include oversight of unlicensed assistive personnel and assistance in safety checks and room checks.
