About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated individuals to join our team as Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs). This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for those interested in the behavioral health, SUDs, or human services fields. BHTs play a key role in supporting clients through their recovery journey, ensuring a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities
The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment by performing the following duties:
- Observe and report client behaviors, concerns, and incidents that occur outside of clinical hours
- Complete a detailed written report following each shift
- Observe and document the distribution of medication to clients
- Navigate through the company’s EHR/EMR system for client intakes, notes, and documentation
- Supervise and document urinalysis (UA) and breath alcohol content (BAC) testing
- Participate in client and property searches as needed to maintain safety and compliance
- Transport clients to and from clinical appointments, meetings, or activities
- Monitor and manage client safety and well-being at all times
- Teach and reinforce life skills, including social interaction and personal responsibility
- Assist clients with household duties such as cooking, cleaning, and maintaining shared spaces
- Attend and support group meetings and therapeutic sessions
- Build and maintain healthy, professional relationships with clients based on respect and trust
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver’s license (DL) required
- Must be able to pass background and drug screening
- Strong communication, observation, and teamwork skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor; commitment to helping others
