Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Behavior Specialist position is available in Stamford, CT for the 2025/2026 school year, focusing on providing specialized support to an elementary student with unique behavioral needs. This contract role runs from ASAP through June 2026 and requires expertise as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with school experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing behavior intervention plans tailored to the students needs
  • Monitoring and documenting behavioral progress
  • Managing challenging behaviors, including addressing running and moderate aggression
  • Collaborating closely with educational staff to support a positive learning environment
  • Maintaining compliance with special education guidelines

Desired qualifications:

  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
  • Proven experience working in school settings
  • Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral strategies
  • Ability to address safety concerns related to running and aggressive behavior
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
