Behavioral Specialist Position Apply
Collaborates with building administrators to collect, analyze, and utilize data for decision making.
The Behavior Specialist will work collaboratively with all Principals, Teachers, SST teams to coordinate functional assessments of behavior and behavior intervention plans that address students' inappropriate behaviors and provide a means to help the students become more successful.
The Behavior Specialist will assess training needs for the district personnel, support research, and support classroom and school wide behavior management strategies
Assumes any other duties assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.

Additional Job Information
Candidates must possess a Bachelor or master's degree in Education as well as hold one of the following certifications: School Counselor, School Social Worker, or Students with Disabilities (Grades 7-12).
Candidate must have the knowledge and skills necessary to assist individuals, groups and systems through the application of positive behavior supports.
Candidate must have a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst Certification (BCBA) or be willing to obtain certification.
Candidate must have experience writing and monitoring behavior plans for students with behavioral difficulties in conjunction with school social worker/counselors.
Candidate must have knowledge of techniques needed to successfully complete effective Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), function based interventions, and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).
Candidate must have knowledge of research related to Positive Behavior Supports or Multi Tiered Systems of Support.
Candidate must have the ability to coordinate and deliver professional development behavioral supports.
