Benefits Specialist We are seeking a Benefits Specialist to work on-site at our Kingsford, MI location. The Benefits Specialist will administer, maintain, and communicate the organization's benefits program such as health, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with match, flexible spending accounts (FSA), Health Savings Account. Key Responsibilities Manage and process claims, invoices, and resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives. Research and analyze benefit plans. Ensure Benefit Programs are compliant with legal requirements. Perform regular audits of benefits data to ensure accuracy and compliance. Prepare and compile reports on benefits usage, costs, and trends for management review. Educate employees about Benefits and enrollment, both during and outside of Open Enrollment windows. Process Benefit Invoices. Organize and process annual open enrollment and new hire benefit paperwork. Maintain accurate records for staff benefit access in the HRIS system. Compliance and reporting (ARISA, ACA, Workman's Comp). Travel to all Lake Shore Facilities within a 120-mile radius as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications H.S. degree required, A.S. or B.S degree and/or experience in business or related field preferred. Computer working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, including multitasking. Knowledge of HRIS is preferred with ability to quickly learn different web-based programs. Knowledge of self-bill processes.
