Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, from conception to completion
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Strong design and operational experience for CIP systems
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors, engineers, and cross-functional teams
  • Create process design documents and deliverables for all project phases, including mass & energy balances, utility distribution plans, P&IDs, PFDs, and equipment specifications
  • Plan and execute capital projects for system capacity expansion and process upgrades
  • Review and upgrade facilities specifications
  • Conduct engineering studies and contribute to system improvements
  • Provide regular project status updates and incident reviews to management
  • Ensure projects adhere to quality standards, safety regulations, and FDA requirements
  • Act as the primary contact for systems incident resolution
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes and efficiency
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of beverage chemistry and manufacturing processes to guide project decisions and ensure optimal outcomes for different beverage styles

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited institution, or alternative acceptable education
  • 5+ years of experience in the food, dairy, beverage/brewery, or personal care industries
  • 2+ years of experience as a project manager or engineering lead
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, GMP, and FDA regulations
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-million dollar projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills
  • Willingness to travel for project requirements, client meetings, and industry events
  • Thorough chemical understanding of different beverage styles (e.g., carbonated soft drinks, juices, teas, alcoholic beverages) and their specific manufacturing requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to apply beverage chemistry knowledge to optimize production processes and solve complex manufacturing challenges
  • Experience in formulation, ingredient interactions, and quality control specific to various beverage types
