GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This is NOT a Remote Position and it is NOT located in Downers Grove, IL! This position is located at our facility in Cincinnati, OH!
Onsite at plant facility: 3965 Virginia Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45227
Position Summary: The HR Manager is a hands-on leader responsible for overseeing and executing all aspects of HR within the organization, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, payroll, benefits administration, and compliance. This role plays a critical part in shaping the company’s culture and aligning HR strategies with business goals. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, experienced in ADP payroll, and capable of managing both local salaried and hourly workforce needs at a plant of around 60 employees plus temporary staff members. This is an onsite role based in our facility, requiring availability Monday through Friday with flexibility to support off-shift operations as needed.
- Manage all aspects of payroll processing in ADP for both hourly and salaried employees, ensuring compliance and timeliness.
- Oversee employee benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and open enrollment processes.
- Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
- This is a full-time onsite role, Monday through Friday, with the flexibility to work off-shifts as needed to support operations.
- Plan, develop and implement strategic goals, objectives and systems that coordinate with the company’s overall strategic plan for HR management.
- Manage and maintain Workers Compensation and Unemployment claims and issues.
- Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of HR development.
- Monitor, measure and report on HR issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales
- Liaise with other functional/departmental managers so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of HR development, and to ensure they are fully informed of HR objectives, purposes and achievements.
- Contribute to the evaluation and development of HR strategy and performance in cooperation with the executive team.
- Annually review and make recommendations for improvement of the organizations policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters
- Coordinates and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons for separation.
- Recommend, evaluate, and participate in staff development for the organization.
- Review and update job descriptions as necessary to meet organizational needs and attract qualified candidates.
- Conduct and analyze compensation surveys and continually update company pay grades categorized by position.
- Oversee new-employee onboarding program and performance appraisal process.
- Build partnerships with Staffing Agencies to manage temporary workforce.
- Maintain Organizational Chart
- Review and identify gaps in critical competencies with support of the company skills matrix, and design strategic plans to resolve competency deficiencies across all departments within the organization.
- Develop strategies to ensure the retention of organizational knowledge and create long-term strategies to develop organizational talent.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
- Hands-on experience with ADP systems, including payroll and HRIS modules.
- Experience managing benefits programs and open enrollment cycles.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site five days a week, with flexibility for off-shift coverage as needed.
- Two or more years’ experience managing human resource activities in a small to mid-size organization.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving skills.
- People management capabilities (ability to motivate, etc.)
- Knowledge of the manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Ability to prioritize.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- BA or BS from accredited college or university
