About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Temple City, CA

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in Temple City, CA
• Schedule: 4 sessions for 1.5 hrs
• Pay rate is between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate:

• Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin (required)
• Experience supporting elementary academic content (Grades 1–3)
• Prior experience with special education or ASD learners preferred
• Ability to deliver engaging, playful instruction in both languages
• Available for substitute tutoring in Temple City, CA
• Patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable teaching style

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized academic support in:
• Reading fluency and comprehension
• Math concepts and word problems
• Foundational writing skills (language, conventions, organization, and writing traits)
• Deliver dual-language instruction in Cantonese and Mandarin to support bilingual development
• Reinforce executive functioning skills, such as task initiation, organization, and attention
• Use praise, encouragement, and positive reinforcement to maintain motivation and engagement
• Create interactive, hands-on activities that make learning fun and accessible
• Incorporate the student’s interests (e.g., piano, fitness, Roblox, soccer) into instruction where appropriate
