Job Title: Billing Analyst
Work Hours: First Shift (Hybrid work schedule)
Work Location: Springfield, NJ (HYBRID)
We are seeking a Billing Analyst for our client in Springfield, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing processes, analyzing billing data, and resolving any billing discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to be onsite 1 day a week but the rest can be remote.
Responsibilities:
- Perform billing, collection and reporting of project related costs
- Prepare journal entries and analyze billing and collection differences
- Update, manage and develop Excel spreadsheets
- Enter financial data in Access Database.
- Utilize SAP financial and work management systems, modules FI & CO, to generate billing and collection documentation.
- Be relatively astute with basic accounting principles.
- Able to effectively interact with engineering and financial associates.
- Create basic financial reports.
- Have working knowledge with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records and documentation
- Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Assist in the development and implementation of billing policies and procedures
- Proven experience as a Billing Analyst, Cost Analyst, Business Support Specialist, or similar role
- Familiarity with billing systems especially SAP FI & CO (Financial Accounting and Controls modules)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in using billing software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of billing processes and procedures
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance standards
