Billing Associate IIThe Billing Associate II is responsible for the billing tasks of Ryder's non contractual bill backs, including Peg maintenance, repairs, transaction maintenance, fuel, and other miscellaneous services, that require a more complex approach. This Specialist collaborates with Sales, Operations, and IT ensuring services contracted are optimal for standard and non-standard billing processes. The position will recommend modifications to billing processes to resolve situations and will contribute to the completion of organizational projects and goals.Essential Functions:Review Certificates of Insurance to meet compliance criteriaEvaluate and advise on accounts that need to be escalated to pre-default and stop lossTrain team and field partnersUpdate training manualsResearch and approve customer adjustmentsSupport the internal and external customers within our business processesAdditional Responsibilities:Serve as a key contact for interpreting certificate requirements for WNS (off-shore vendor), account managers, and claims personnelMaintain and report on weekly and monthly metrics related to pre-default accountsSupport Ryder in projects to include department, SSC, division and corporate initiativesRecommend improvements to departmental and or SSC procedures and protocolsPerform other duties as assignedEducation:H.S. diploma/GEDAssociate's degree in General Business, Finance, Accounting or related field preferredBachelor's degree in General Business, Finance, Accounting or related field preferredExperience:Four (4) years or more experience in Corporate Vehicle Insurance with a High School DiplomaThree (3) years or more experience in Corporate Vehicle Insurance with an Associates degree preferredOne (1) year or more experience in Billing, Receivables, Customer Service, Collections, Payables or other financials support role with a Bachelor's degree preferredSkills:Possesses strong technical aptitudeRequires full use and application of relevant principles, theories, concepts and techniquesDemonstrates a high commitment to qualityAbility to build strong customer relationshipsHighly thorough and dependableIntegrity and trustAbility to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)Demonstrates problem solving skillsAdvanced Problem Solving skillsDemonstrates time management and priority setting skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and as a member of a teamFlexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environmentCapable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skillsAbility to analyze and solve problemsDetail oriented with excellent follow-up practicesKnowledge:Basic understanding of Certificates of Insurance (Corporate Vehicle), controls and metrics; intermediate levelPay Range for this role: $60,000.00 - $60,000.00Job Category: Credit & CollectionsCompensation Information:The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
