We work collaboratively to provide compassionate care and utilize evidence based practice to improve outcomes to every patient, every time.Position SummaryBilling Control Specialist Position Summary:Assist Office Supervisor in the billing operations of St. Catherine of Siena PROSReview in-house billing systems to ensure compliance with regulatory agenciesWork closely with Office Supervisor to ensure accuracy of charges, billing and documentationAble to handle challenging situations in an often high stress environment, think objectively and be detail orientedDuties/ResponsibilitiesBilling Control Specialist Duties/Responsibilities:Assist Office Supervisor and Internal Control Specialist in maintaining charts according to regulatory standardsComplete attestations and submit to accounting on a monthly basisAssist Office Supervisor with conducting individual financial intakes as neededGather insurance information for new admissions inputting them into the HERUpload documents into EHR as neededCollect co-pays for services provided when neededProvide feedback to the Internal Control Specialist, Program Manager and or Program Director of any discrepancies, ensure adjustments and advise Program Manager / DirectorIdentify trends and informs Program Manager / Program DirectorAssist with completion of private insurance applications to ensure that we can bill as neededAssist with verification of service(s) as applicableMaintain and submit data to various agencies, including OMHResponsible for monthly reporting as necessaryProvide back up clerical coverage and data entry as neededAttend all applicable departmental meetingsMaintain and oversee the program Purchase cards, including the documentation and reporting of expendituresServe as a member of the multi-disciplinary team as appropriate.Assist with the program re-certification process.Responsible for ensuring timely reporting of work-related injuries, via incident/accident reports, to the Human Resources Department within 24 hours.Interrupt and report suspected abuse to an administrator immediately and conform to NYS Justice Center Social Service Law including the Code of Conduct.RequirementsBilling And Control Specialist Requirements:HS diploma/equivalent 3-5 years billing experienceExperience working with individuals with behavioral health needs preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Computer skills requiredPosted Salary RangeUSD $23.07 - USD $28.20 /Hr.This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
