Job Title: Biostatistician
Location: Baltimore, MD

We are seeking a skilled Biostatistician to provide expert support in statistical analysis and data management for a community-based cohort study focused on brain health equity. You will work with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, assisting in the statistical design, analysis, and interpretation of epidemiological data. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to research that addresses health disparities and advances public health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide biostatistical expertise for research studies, including designing and implementing statistical analyses.
  • Analyze and interpret epidemiologic data using statistical methods such as logistic regression, Cox regression, and rate standardization.
  • Manage and organize large, complex datasets, including data cleaning, transformation, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Write statistical sections for manuscripts and assist in interpreting comments from referees.
  • Perform descriptive and missing data analyses and document results for reports and publications.
  • Collaborate with research teams to develop innovative strategies for data modeling, genomic data integration, and prediction.
  • Stay current with new statistical methods and software packages, offering consultation and training to staff.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources into statistical software like SAS, R, Stata, and Epicure.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • Specialized experience in statistical analysis of epidemiological data.
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, Mplus, SPSS).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in public health, epidemiology, or clinical research.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain statistical concepts and results to non-statistical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
