Blending OperatorUnder the direction of the supervisor, the 2nd shift Blending Operator will manufacture a variety of liquid products within set specifications. The Blending associate is responsible for the quality of blends, accurate completion of all paperwork, sanitation of blending rooms and taking all samples that are required.Responsibilities:Verify all the raw ingredients are present before beginning the weighing processWeigh each ingredient and add to the vessel in the specified order according to the job and mixing instructionsAccurately document all lot numbers for each component onto a batch sheet for traceability purposesCommunicates and works together with QA to maintain all standards and practices of the food industry in accordance with FDA and State regulationsMaintain a safe and clean working environment at all times to prevent cross contamination and build upComply and adhere to all GMP's policies and safety proceduresAccurately measure conversions and ingredientsClean and sanitize all equipment according to GMP standardsAdditional duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or equivalency preferred1+ year experience in a manufacturing environment with blending powdered food materialsAbility to use calculator and other measurement instrumentsBasic computer skills a plusFlexibility for overtime when neededMust be able to read/write EnglishAbility to work autonomously and use resources available to complete tasks timelyMust comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job trainingRole's Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift 50lbsWork environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish).Ability to work in a physically challenging environment, including bending, twisting, and standing for up to 8 hours.We proudly offer: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with Company Match, Pet insurance and more!We reward the hard work of our team members with fun and exciting company events, Summer Picnic, Festive Packages, Holiday Celebrations, and associate referral bonuses!Founded in 2011, Piping Rock Health Products has gone on to win Long Island's Top Workplaces Award 7 years in a row & securing the spot as Top Supplement Manufacturing Company 2024 by Food Business Review!
