Blow Molding Process Technician - PSC92325
Pay: $22 - 40/hr + Benefits
Industry: Plastic Blow molding
Schedule: Full-time / O.T. Available
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Technician to join a stable and well-established leader in the plastic blow molding industry. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and optimizing blow molding equipment to ensure consistent production quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with blow molding processes, strong troubleshooting skills, and a solid understanding of plastic materials and machine operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate blow molding machines and auxiliary equipment safely and efficiently, following established procedures
- Collaborate with Set-up Technicians to start up and cycle in new jobs, ensuring smooth transitions and optimal settings
- Monitor machine performance, respond promptly to alarms, and adjust process parameters to maintain quality and minimize downtime
- Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance on molds, machines, and support equipment; report any issues requiring repair
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine, tooling, and process-related issues to ensure consistent output and product integrity
- Manage material flow, including handling scrap and regrind, and support inventory accuracy
- Work with production teams and management to meet output targets and maintain high standards of product quality
- Provide technical input to support new product development and process improvements
- Coordinate with external vendors, tooling suppliers, and contractors for equipment upgrades and maintenance as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or technical certification preferred
- 3+ years of experience in blow molding or related plastic manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with extrusion blow molding, injection blow molding, or stretch blow molding
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and use measurement tools
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed
