Responsibilities :
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
Be responsible for the electrical hardware design of all body electronics modules, sensors, and actuators under your span of control. You will cover from clean sheet of paper through virtual development, testing/sign-off and manufacturing launch for Scout all-electric pick-up and rugged SUVs.
Work with Purchasing and Finance counterparts to develop technical specifications in support of the quoting and sourcing process for components under your control.
Work with Cariad, key VW Group module owners, and suppliers to release all appropriate body control components.
Be part of a diverse team fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, promoting continuous learning and professional development among team members.
Perform virtual and physical verification testing, including field testing.
Ensure designs conform to safety standards and U.S. government regulations.
Proactively stay attuned to consumer experience and propose system improvements accordingly.
Contribute to the design of production facilities for Scout trucks & SUVs.
Manage supplier resources efficiently to deliver components and systems that meet cost, timing, and quality targets.

Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, or combined electrical/mechanical engineering, systems engineering, or a relevant field.
Have extensive experience in body electrical and/or electromechanical areas and relevant automotive assignments, covering all phases of product development (design, test, and launch).
Strong technical skills and expertise in body control systems, employing a six-sigma approach to engineering design and problem-solving.
Familiarity with computer-aided engineering (CAE) or direct experience in this field.
Ability to build strong working relationships with individuals at all organizational levels.
