About the Role:
The Bookkeeper plays a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity and accuracy of our company’s accounting records within the management of companies and enterprises sector. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring that all accounts payable and receivable are recorded accurately and timely. The Bookkeeper will perform bank reconciliations, maintain the general ledger, and assist with payroll tax processing to support smooth financial operations. Additionally, this role involves preparing documentation and reports necessary for tax returns and financial audits, contributing to compliance and regulatory adherence. Ultimately, the Bookkeeper ensures that financial data is reliable and accessible, enabling informed decision-making by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and general bookkeeping principles.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with payroll tax regulations and tax return preparation.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience working within the management of companies and enterprises industry.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software beyond QuickBooks.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with financial reporting and audits.
Responsibilities:
- Record and process all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and promptly.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between company records and bank statements.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial entries are complete and accurate.
- Prepare and assist with payroll tax calculations and filings in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Support the preparation of tax returns by organizing financial data and documentation.
- Utilize QuickBooks software to manage bookkeeping tasks and generate financial reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to provide necessary financial information.
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial records to maintain data integrity.
