This role is being sourced confidentially by JL Talent Solutions on behalf of a well-established, multi-entity residential construction and design organization.
About the Organization
This organization operates a high-end residential design-build business with multiple projects and entities. The firm values financial accuracy, disciplined processes, and clear visibility into job-level and company-wide performance.
As the organization continues to professionalize its internal operations, it is seeking a Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial accuracy and reporting.
The Role
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting job cost tracking, and ensuring transactions are recorded consistently and on time. This is not a data-entry-only role. The firm is looking for someone who understands construction accounting fundamentals, takes ownership of accuracy, and follows through on responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records across projects and entities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Support job cost tracking and expense allocation
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Assist with monthly close and reporting preparation
- Create and present Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports quarterly
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Coordinate with external accountants as needed

- Financial records are accurate, current, and well-organized
- Job costs are tracked consistently and reliably
- Leadership has confidence in the numbers
- Month-end processes run smoothly with minimal cleanup
Qualifications
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in construction or project-based businesses
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop required
- Familiarity with job cost accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Organized, dependable, and deadline-conscious
- Comfortable working fully on-site
