About the Role
Rural Water District #3 is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage our essential financial and administrative operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, managing employee benefits, and providing top-tier service to our customers. This is a critical role that supports the vital water services we provide to Washington County.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable (35%): Process expenditures and manage outgoing payments accurately.
- Customer Service (30%): Interact with customers to address inquiries and resolve complaints regarding billing and services.
- Payroll & Bookkeeping (30%): Process bi-weekly payroll and maintain precise financial records, including journal entries and audit reports.
- HR Generalist (5%): Coordinate employee compensation, insurance programs (Life/Health), and savings plans (457b).
- Reconcile bank statements and financial reports
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in entering financial data, reconciling records, and generating profit/loss reports.
- Administrative: Strong organizational skills to manage employee records and insurance documentation.
- Preferred experience with Tyler Encode 10 software (NOT A REQUIREMENT)
