Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for daily operations management including planning, execution, scheduling, housekeeping, maintenance, safety, and process improvements.
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of staff including training, employee development, performance evaluation, hiring decisions, and the establishment of goals and performance objectives for assigned department.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of all product line offerings and inventory needs.
  • Ensures that established regulatory environmental and safety standards are maintained. Manages all activities and decisions relative to the safety of the job and the surrounding area.
  • Ownership of the P&L, including operating costs, site inventory levels, and pricing margins.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies; support the Sales team by traveling throughout assigned territory to find and grow new opportunities.
  • Develop sales plans, identify target accounts, and provide oversight to Inside Sales Team.
  • Sustain and elevate customer relationships by providing superior customer service.
  • Ensure staffing level is appropriate based on business needs and that staff is properly trained.
  • Provide continual evaluation of department processes, methods, and activities to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment.
  • Establish a culture of safety, operational, and customer service excellence within the organization.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to learn technology utilized by Operations.
  • Must be able to communicate with employees, customers, and suppliers effectively and confidently at all levels of the organization.
  • Metrics driven, solutions-oriented and financially savvy.
  • Engaging and inspiring leader who knows how to evaluate, energize, and motivate a team. Holds himself/herself and others accountable for results and encourages teams to set challenging goals.
  • Strategic view of the business with focus on ESP’s immediate growth requirements and initiatives.
  • Sets stretch goals for self and team based on relevant metrics to exceed expectations.
  • Strong customer service focus with ability to serve as a positive representative of ESP both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated skills as a team player.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Punctual, trustworthy, and reliable.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; may be required to work nights and weekends.
  • Unwavering commitment to safe operations.
  • Demonstrated desire to develop leadership capabilities.
