Salary Range: $65,000 $85,000 per year (depending on experience)

A well-established engineering firm in New Jersey is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer / Bridge Inspector to join their Freehold office. This role is ideal for entry-level candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in bridge inspection, civil engineering design, and construction support. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct bridge safety inspections under the guidance of senior inspectors.

Assist with manual tasks, including climbing scaffolding, accessing bridge structures, and carrying inspection equipment such as ladders.

Support the design and drafting of bridge and highway elements.

Prepare comprehensive and accurate bridge inspection reports.

Maintain accurate data and documentation for inspections and engineering projects.

Occasionally work nights and from elevated platforms over roadways and waterways.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred.

0 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in bridge inspections, civil construction, or related fields.

Valid Driver's License.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in engineering software, spreadsheets, and report writing.

Completion of the NHI Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges (Course 130053) is a plus.

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting ladders and equipment.

Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation is advantageous.
