Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Budget Analysts to support the Division of Condominiums, Timeshares and Mobile Homes within the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. This role requires strong investigative, analytical, and statutory interpretation skills within a professional office environment.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate high proficiency with computer systems, databases, and Microsoft Office tools, along with the ability to interpret and apply laws, rules, and administrative regulations to financial and investigative scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Review budgets and financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable statutes, regulations, and organizational policies
- Interpret and apply statutes and administrative rules to specific fact scenarios
- Conduct fact-finding interviews and obtain statements
- Collect, analyze, and document evidence
- Perform thorough investigations
- Prepare accurate and detailed investigative reports
- Utilize databases, software systems, and internet research tools effectively
- Communicate findings clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Provide professional customer service interactions
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma (required)
- Minimum two (2) years of investigative experience researching and analyzing statutory issues
- Minimum two (2) years of experience:
- Applying statutes and administrative rules
- Conducting fact-finding interviews
- Writing investigative reports
- Utilizing investigative techniques
- Ability to review and analyze budgets and financial documentation for compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking ability
- Ability to speak and understand English
