About the Organization
Fort Lauderdale United FC is a professional women’s soccer club competing in the USL Gainbridge Super League, based at Beyond Bancard Field on the Nova Southeastern University campus in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
FTL UTD operates as part of FTL UTD Holdings — a multi‑sport platform spanning soccer, volleyball, flag football, futsal, lacrosse, and basketball, with a men’s USL League One team launching in 2027. We are building one of the most ambitious sports platforms in South Florida.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a sharp, detail‑oriented Budget & Financial Analyst to support the financial operations of FTL UTD Holdings. This is a high‑visibility role working directly with club leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and sponsor financial modeling across a fast‑growing multi‑entity sports holding company.
You will own day‑to‑day financial analysis, support investor and leadership reporting, and build the financial infrastructure needed to scale the platform from youth sports to professional leagues.
Core Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and update annual operating budgets across all entities within FTL UTD Holdings
Develop monthly financial forecasts and variance analysis reports for club leadership and management
Prepare investor‑grade financial packages and reporting for club ownership and stakeholders
Model sponsorship ROI and revenue projections to support partnership proposals and renewals across healthcare, airline, banking, and consumer categories
Analyze youth sports platform financials and identify margin improvement opportunities across six sport verticals
Track and reconcile actuals against budget monthly; flag material variances with root cause analysis
Support the annual audit process and coordinate with external accountants and legal counsel
Build pro forma models for new revenue streams, including the 2027 men’s USL League One launch
Manage cash flow forecasting and assist with financing planning across the holding company
Prepare financial slides and supporting data for board presentations and capital raise materials
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
3–6 years of financial analysis experience
Advanced Excel / Google Sheets financial modeling skills
Experience with multi‑entity or holding company structures
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with private equity or fund reporting (strong plus)
Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar accounting platforms
Sports or entertainment industry background preferred
CPA or CFA candidacy a plus (not required)
What we’re really looking for
Beyond the credentials, we want someone who moves fast, thinks like an owner, and takes pride in accuracy. You will have direct access to leadership and your work will influence real decisions — from sponsorship pricing to capital raises. If you want to sit inside a growing professional sports organization and see exactly how the financial engine runs, this is that seat.
