Position Overview:Our clients are seeking a highly skilled Building Automation Technician with expertise in Distech Controls and Tridium Niagara platforms to support mission-critical data center environments in Northern Virginia. This role is ideal for a technician who thrives in high-performance settings and is passionate about optimizing building systems for reliability, efficiency, and scalability.Key Responsibilities:Install, program, and commission BAS systems using Distech and Tridium Niagara platforms.Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on building automation and HVAC control systems in data center facilities.Ensure system uptime and performance meet the stringent requirements of mission-critical environments.Collaborate with engineers, facility managers, and IT teams to integrate BAS with other building systems.Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, updates, and service activities.Provide technical support and training to on-site personnel as needed.Required Qualifications:3+ years of experience with Distech Controls and Tridium Niagara (AX/N4) systems.Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical controls, and networking protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LON).Experience working in or supporting data center environments.Ability to read and interpret control drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications:Niagara N4 certification.Distech Controls certification or equivalent experience.Familiarity with data center operations, uptime requirements, and redundancy systems.Experience with integration of third-party systems (e.g., lighting, access control, energy monitoring).
