Building Engineer Apply
The Building Engineer plays a key role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and comfort of our facilities. This position focuses on routine maintenance, basic repairs, and ensuring systems—including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components—operate efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections of building systems, equipment, and grounds

Complete work orders involving light electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and carpentry tasks

Support Property Manager in maintaining and following preventive maintenance schedules

Respond promptly and professionally to emergency maintenance situations

Assist skilled vendors and contractors with access and coordination as needed

Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and parts
-
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, documentation, and service records

Conduct seasonal facility support tasks (e.g., snow removal, landscaping, heating/cooling prep)

Ensure all work meets safety standards and building codes
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade training a plus

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance, facility operations, or a related field

General handyman skills in basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics (preferred)

Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills

Understanding of position scope—knows when to escalate to licensed trades or specialists

Physically able to lift, bend, climb, and work in varying environmental conditions

Valid driver’s license
