Bulk Material HandlerUnder the direction of the manager/supervisor/lead person, the bulk material handler is responsible for the movement of products (materials, components) to supply department needs. Also responsible for adhering to the standard operating procedures (SOP) and good manufacturing practices (GMP's) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.2nd shift: Monday-Friday 3:00pm 11:30pmResponsibilities:Operates material handling equipment independently as well as within a team environmentMoves material to appropriate destinationsLoad and unload the trucksOrganizes and maintains materials and other components in storage or staging areaComplies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendancePersonal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMPsDisposes of cardboard boxes and garbageOther duties as assignedQualifications:Must comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job trainingHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferredBi-lingual is a plusPrior manufacturing or packaging experience preferredMust be able to read, write and understand EnglishComplies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendanceProficient computer skills and strong math skills (addition, subtraction, percentages, averages)Physical effort ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to write simple correspondence in EnglishMust be able to lift 50lbsAbility to work in a physically challenging environment, including the ability to stand, bend, stoop, twist, pull, push, and reach for up to 8 hoursWork environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish)We proudly offer: medical, dental, vision, 401K with company match, pet insurance, company paid life insurance and more!
