We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team in Columbus, Ohio, on a long-term contract basis. This role will be integral in supporting data governance and management initiatives within a designated business segment, ensuring data quality, compliance, and usability across various reporting needs. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in data management, a collaborative mindset, and a strong commitment to enhancing data literacy and governance practices.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Chief Data & Architecture Office to map metadata business definitions and lineage into enterprise-wide tools.
• Manage and maintain segment-specific reference data to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Support the implementation of effective data governance practices in alignment with organizational policies and standards.
• Work closely with Segment Data Managers, Data Trustees, Curators, and technology teams throughout the data lifecycle to address governance needs.
• Conduct fit-for-purpose analyses of data to meet regulatory and management reporting requirements.
• Identify and profile Critical Data Elements (CDEs) to enhance data quality and usability.
• Oversee the inventory of data-related controls across systems supporting segment processes and customer interactions.
• Partner with the Data Literacy team to promote and enhance data literacy within the business segment.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality and governance processes to meet organizational goals.
• Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory standards impacting data governance.• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, with a minimum of 1 year focused on data management, quality, or governance.
• Proficiency with tools such as Anomalo, Informatica, or Collibra.
• Strong understanding of data governance policies, standards, metrics, and controls.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on business outcomes.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
• Experience participating in data-related projects or programs.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and legal considerations related to data management.
