The Governance team in Macquarie Asset Management is dedicated to establishing and maintaining robust frameworks that protect the integrity, security, and compliance of our organisation’s data and digital assets. Our multidisciplinary team oversees the governance of both structured and unstructured datasets, analytical models, business systems, and reporting frameworks, while leading initiatives in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence governance. As a Business Analyst, you will collaborate with stakeholders and agile teams to gather and clarify requirements, with a focus on enhancing the management of unstructured data and meeting governance standards. You will write user stories and acceptance criteria, help prioritise and refine the backlog, and participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand‑ups, and reviews. In addition, you will map and improve business processes related to data governance, support testing activities, and ensure solutions meet both business and compliance needs, communicating progress and issues clearly to the team and stakeholders. What you offer 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within a governance‑focused environment Proven experience as a Business Analyst, including working as part of a product team using scrum methodologies Prior experience in the financial services sector or a similar regulated environment, with a strong risk mindset Experience implementing governance solutions Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and excellent communication and presentation abilities Experience or knowledge using artificial intelligence with unstructured data is valuable.
