Business Analyst
FedTec is seeking Business Analyst for Computer-Assisted Coding (CAC) and Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Software Deployment is responsible for eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating business, clinical, and technical requirements to support enterprise CAC/CDI technology implementations across inpatient, outpatient, and professional billing environments. This role ensures that operational needs, regulatory requirements, and system capabilities are clearly translated into actionable, testable specifications that support implementation, quality assurance, and long-term operational sustainability.
The ideal candidate possesses deep experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations, documentation and coding workflows, and clinical systems, combined with strong business analysis techniques, stakeholder facilitation skills, and disciplined documentation practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary business analysis lead for CAC/CDI initiatives, working in close partnership with Project Management, clinical leadership, IT, Compliance, and vendor teams.
- Develop and maintain business analysis work plans, requirements traceability matrices, and decision logs aligned to project milestones.
- Ensure requirements and documentation support both project delivery and ongoing operational use, avoiding one-time or throwaway artifacts.
- Facilitate structured decision-making by clearly documenting assumptions, constraints, dependencies, and impacts.
- Conduct current-state (as-is) workflow analysis across HIM, Coding, CDI, Case Management, Revenue Integrity, and related functions.
- Develop future-state (to-be) workflows that reflect CAC/CDI-enabled processes, automation opportunities, and role changes.
- Create detailed process maps, swimlane diagrams, interface diagrams, and value-stream maps to identify inefficiencies, handoffs, bottlenecks, and risk points.
- Perform time studies and productivity assessments to establish baselines and support benefits realization analysis.
- Lead comprehensive requirements elicitation using interviews, workshops, document analysis, observation, and facilitated working sessions.
- Work closely with HIM, Coding, CDI, Case Management, Compliance, IT, and Revenue Cycle leaders to ensure requirements accurately reflect real-world workflows.
- Translate clinical documentation and coding practices into system-ready functional specifications.
- Ensure requirements are clear, unambiguous, testable, and traceable, suitable for system configuration and QA activities.
- Maintain a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) linking business needs to design, build, test, and validation outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business, Project Management, Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of healthcare business analysis experience with master of: Current-state and future-state workflow mapping , Requirements elicitation and documentation , Time studies and productivity analysis , Gap analysis and impact assessment
- Strong working knowledge of: , ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT/HCPCS coding , Clinical documentation workflows , Hospital and professional revenue cycle operations
