We are looking to fill a long-term Contract role as Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Requirements Leadership: Lead, plan, and execute requirements gathering activities (workshops, interviews, focus groups) for large, complex IT projects, translating business goals into clear, comprehensive, and traceable functional and non-functional specifications.
- System and Process Modeling: Develop detailed artifacts, including UML diagrams, flowcharts, data models, and use cases, to illustrate current and future state processes and system interactions.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage communication and expectations across multiple university departments, including IT, finance, student services, and academic leadership, ensuring consensus on scope and requirements.
- Solution Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend optimal technology solutions, acting as the subject matter expert to ensure proposed solutions align with Clemson University's strategic objectives and technical standards.
- Agile/Waterfall Expertise: Drive analysis activities within both Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies, adapting documentation and approach based on project needs.
- Testing Oversight: Collaborate with QA teams to define test strategies, review test plans, and directly support complex User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate solutions meet the highest quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years of dedicated Business Analysis experience, preferably within a Higher Education or comparable complex public-sector environment.
- Technical Acumen: Strong proficiency in enterprise applications (e.g., ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or specific higher-ed platforms), relational databases, and system integration concepts.
- Certifications: BA certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is highly preferred.
- Analytical Skill: Exceptional ability to synthesize complex information, identify root causes, and propose practical, innovative solutions.
- Communication: Excellent facilitation, presentation, and negotiation skills to influence outcomes and build consensus among diverse groups.
