Job Description
The Business Analyst leads data-driven decision making across shore-side operations, shipboard programs, and cruise line partnerships for a global cruise ship art business. This role manages analytical deliverables while partnering closely with senior leadership to drive revenue optimization, operational efficiency, and strategic planning. This is an hybrid remote position in our Miami Lakes, Florida location.
Key Responsibilities
- Sets priorities and ensures high-quality, timely deliverables
- Provide executive-level reporting, dashboards, and insights to senior leadership and cruise line partners
- Analyze revenue trends, forecasting, budgets, staffing metrics, and inventory performance across ships and sailings
- Support cruise line partnerships through financial analysis, performance tracking, and reconciliation
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and Tableau dashboards to support operational and financial reporting
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Recruiting, and Inventory teams
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate reporting, and scale analytics
- Drives operational and revenue decisions across ships and programs
- Analyze and provide weekly reporting report on revenue results & drivers
- Analyze staffing, sold artwork, promotions and recommend adjustments in programs to drive attendance, guest engagement, conversion and revenue
- Ability to connect data insights & trends to real-world shipboard execution to drive attendance and revenue
- Revenue-focused, data-driven mindset
- Strong business judgement and analytical rigor
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Analytics, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of cruise, maritime, or hospitality industry experience
- Advanced skills in SQL, ability to write complex queries & validating data accuracy across multiple systems
- Advanced Tableau & Power BI to create executive dashboards, trend analysis by ship, sailing, cruise line and time period, performance scorecards and KPI tracking
- PowerPoint, Excel and Google Sheets a must
- Strong ability in data modeling concepts in revenue, staffing, inventory, and performance metrics
- Ability to translate data into clear executive-level visuals, not just charts
- Strong financial, analytical, problem-solving and storytelling skills
- Ability to present complex data clearly to executives and large groups
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
