Position Description:
This position will serve as a Business Analyst for the Alabama Department of Public Health - Information Technology Division. This position will work closely with the Heath Level 7 (HL7) team and business units to support public health related facilities. The HL7 team manages the Rhapsody messaging engine that processes millions of HL7 messages annually from healthcare facilities, insurance companies, labs, and many more public health related facilities. This position will document the on-boarding process for facilities, assist facilities with the on-boarding process, which includes registration, testing, and troubleshooting, develop and generate reports, and perform system testing and document testing results. This position will also need to learn various computer languages, such as XML, JSON, and .NET Core, that will lead to some web development to support the HL7 team. A solid work history, experience documenting and researching issues, willingness to learn, and working both independently and as a valued team member are required.

- Experience Required:
- Typically has 3 to 5 years of relevant technical or business work experience. Proficient with MS Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Proven experience with providing user support. Proficient with business processes.
Experience Preferred:
Some SQL experience is preferred.
Experience Required:
High school diploma with some college or equivalent work experience.
