Robert Half is seeking an experienced Business Applications Architect to lead the design, evolution, and optimization of enterprise business systems, with primary responsibility for ERP platforms. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on aligning application architecture with organizational strategy while ensuring scalability, security, and seamless integration across the application landscape.
This position partners closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and technical teams to deliver reliable, future-ready solutions supporting finance, supply chain, and operational functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the overall architecture and long-term roadmap for ERP and related business applications across the enterprise.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
- Lead system design efforts and oversee integrations between ERP and surrounding platforms (CRM, HRIS, financial systems, product configuration tools, and other enterprise applications).
- Provide architectural guidance throughout project lifecycles, including planning, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Ensure application performance, data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Serve as a technical leader for ERP developers and business analysts, providing mentorship and best-practice guidance.
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to deliver projects and ongoing system enhancements.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to modernize and optimize the business applications ecosystem.
- Develop and maintain system architecture documentation, technical standards, and process artifacts.
- Support Agile delivery practices and DevOps workflows where applicable.
- 10+ years of experience designing and implementing ERP or enterprise business application solutions.
- Strong expertise with at least one major ERP platform (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management preferred; SAP, Oracle, Dynamics AX, or Business Central also acceptable).
- Experience supporting multi-entity, multi-business-unit, and multi-geography environments.
- Solid understanding of finance, supply chain, and operational business processes.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based ERP platforms and hybrid system architectures.
- Proficiency with integration technologies, including APIs, middleware, and ETL tools.
- Experience working with ISV solutions and third-party integrations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps), Azure services, and integration frameworks.
- Working knowledge of data analytics, SQL, and data warehousing concepts.
