Description WORK LOCATION: San Luis Obispo, CA FLSA STATUS: Exempt SALARY RANGE: The anticipated salary range for this role is $66,000 to $83,000 annually. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on the targeted level for the role and typical compensation benchmarks across U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment. Summary In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing data to support manufacturing processes and business operations. Your expertise in data collection, analysis, visualization, ERP system customization, and stakeholder communication will be crucial in ensuring data-driven decision making across production operations and business functions. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into analytical solutions, customize ERP systems to optimize business processes, and provide actionable insights to drive organizational performance. Responsibilities The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Inventory, Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Operations, to understand data requirements and develop data-driven cost reduction strategies and process optimization initiatives. Support ERP system development, customization, and integration using SQL, Python, XML configuration, and API development to enhance system functionality and data connectivity. Focus on Process improvement making things easier to work and work correctly. Identifying of edge cases where . Present findings to stakeholders with clear visualizations, actionable recommendations, and data-driven insights. Develop and maintain training materials so that members of the team can be trained and qualified for use of the ERP/other systems. Stay updated on industry trends, new analytical tools, and advancements in data science and business intelligence. All other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications The following are a non-exhaustive list of qualifications for the position: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field. 0-2 years of experience in Computer Science, or Mathematics. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel fundamentals for data extraction and manipulation. Basic programming knowledge for software development and system integration. Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis. Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail. Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to translate technical findings into business insights. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and business operations preferred. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of API integration and data pipeline development. Experience with ERP system customization and integration (Odoo, SAP, or similar). Professional certifications in data analysis, business intelligence, or related fields. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and business process optimization. Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
