Position Overview The Business Development Manager – Electrical & Technology Services is responsible for developing strategic client relationships, managing key accounts, and identifying new project opportunities that support the continued growth of Prism Electric’s electrical and technology services. This role works closely with the General Manager, estimating teams, and operational leadership to position Prism Electric competitively for upcoming work. The Business Development Manager plays a key role in developing pursuit strategies, supporting proposal development, and strengthening long‑term client partnerships across targeted markets. This position contributes directly to expanding Prism Electric’s presence across commercial electrical construction, structured cabling infrastructure, and integrated technology systems. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, developers, owners, and industry partners Serve as a trusted point of contact for key accounts, ensuring strong communication and long‑term client satisfaction Manage existing client relationships while identifying opportunities for repeat business and long‑term partnerships Maintain consistent client engagement through meetings, industry events, networking opportunities, and project follow‑ups Identify and pursue new project opportunities aligned with Prism Electric’s strategic growth goals Develop and execute account development strategies to increase market share within targeted industries Research industry trends, emerging technologies, and market developments to support business growth Develop business plans designed to support division growth goals and performance metrics Collaborate with estimating teams and operational leadership to develop pursuit strategies for targeted projects Participate in strategy meetings for project bids and client presentations Assist in proposal development including budget coordination, pricing support, and proposal writing Support contract negotiations and ensure alignment between project scope, pricing, and client expectations Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, subcontractors, and trade partners throughout the pursuit process Maintain accurate CRM updates including bid follow‑ups, client meetings, and new opportunities Support coordination between business development, estimating, and operations teams to strengthen project pursuits Maintain an active presence in local industry organizations and professional associations Monitor key competitors, market trends, and emerging technologies Represent Prism Electric with professionalism and integrity in all client interactions Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or preconstruction within electrical construction or technology infrastructure Experience working with electrical contractors, low‑voltage integrators, or technology infrastructure providers strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to develop long‑term client relationships and identify new project opportunities Strong communication and presentation skills with professional client‑facing presence Proven ability to collaborate with internal teams to support successful project pursuits Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms High School Diploma or GED required; additional education in business, construction management, or related fields preferred Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Short‑ and Long‑Term Disability Accident and Hospital Indemnity Insurance Basic and Voluntary Life Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Referral Bonus Program Electrical schooling and professional development opportunities Our Culture Our people are the heart of our mission.
