Job Summary

The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in driving market development, prospecting, and sales growth for Legacy Building Products. This position is highly focused on expanding our customer base, strengthening vendor partnerships, and increasing market presence within a 40-mile radius of our Mifflinburg, PA headquarters.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead LBP sales/marketing directions/activities to grow customer base. Oversee LBP sales and marketing efforts. Work closely with marketing staff to create promotions, literature, web content, point of sale material, handouts, etc. Biz Dev manager will provide vision/inspiration.
  • Assist in recruiting and vetting potential new vendor partners and negotiations on pricing and performance with all vendors
  • Revamp and expand our showroom as necessary to host customers and showcase products.
  • Provide pricing assistance/market comps to make sure products are priced competitively and profitably.
  • Recruit and hire additional sales and/or support staff as necessary.
  • In-field travel to visit prospective and current customers to aid sales efforts.
  • Host tours of facility with potential and existing customers to Showcase LBP products and services.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales leadership, or construction/building products industry preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of management practices, principles, procedures, and shared best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive market growth, prospect new business, and close sales.
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills.
  • Maintains composure and deals calmly and effectively with stressful situations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel locally as needed to support business development efforts.

This position is based in Mifflinburg, PA and supports sales growth within an approximate 40-mile radius.

Our flagship product offering is Legacy Crafted Cabinets, a semi-custom, full-line cabinetry product manufactured locally in Mifflinburg.
