Position Overview A Business Development Representative (BDR) at Autodesk will use experience to establish communication and engagement with prospects, qualify potential customer opportunities, and deliver a closable sales pipeline to Autodesk's territory sales organization. The role is primarily remote but requires onsite presence weekly. The BDR will be part of a high‑growth sales organization and will drive future career development.
Responsibilities Complete weekly activities to meet sales performance metrics, including presentations and sales
Collaborate with Inside Sales, Technical Sellers, and Demand Generation to develop a qualified sales pipeline
Drive additional revenue opportunities through incremental programs initiated by sales management
Qualify prospects and pass opportunities to Autodesk Account Representatives in the territory business (pipeline + revenue)
Interact with clients and prospects of all seniority levels, including C‑Suite, across a broad geographical region
Map key stakeholders, technical requirements, and business processes on all sales deals
Contact customers via phone, email, and LinkedIn using outbound techniques to position the value of Autodesk software solutions
Create and manage a prospects database in , processing opportunities, tracking, reporting, and maintaining closure or transfer to the appropriate team
Maintain a strong understanding of promotions and campaigns related to doing business with Autodesk
Transition qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales representative while learning the sales process, skills, and industry knowledge
Report to the Business Development Manager
Minimum Qualifications Passion for a career in sales with an interest in SaaS and technology
Curious and constantly seeking to learn something new
Experience with digging into prospects' pain points, empathizing, and validating issues
Quick to adapt to new challenges and find optimal solutions
Eager to prospect and cold call new logos and existing strategic clients
Experience managing a pipeline of leads and opportunities
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in establishing engagement with prospects
Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM
Creative utilization of AI tools to improve knowledge base and workflows
Knowledge of managing schedule and prioritizing daily tasks
Salary For U.S.-based sales roles, the expected starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) is between 58,100 and 104,060 dollars. OTE includes base salary plus commission target, and offers may exceed this range based on experience and location.
