We’re expanding rapidly and are looking for a Mid-Level Business Developer willing to leave the old world behind and become a member of our valued team. Responsibilities:

  • Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers
  • Prospect and contact potential customers
  • Reach agreed upon sales targets by the deadline
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints
  • Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments
  • Travel to trade shows/events
  • Play well with others

All Candidates Must have the Following Experience:

  • 6-8 years of experience in Business Development and Technical Sales in the Government Space and IC Community
  • Proven experience selling information technology products to US Government in a small to mid-sized company, proven experience in securing services contracts related to a small to mid-sized company’s product.
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills with experience working with large, structured, process-oriented organizations
  • Proven sales record with high end technical products
  • Strong understanding of Federal and State procurement processes and programs, with the ability to manage an opportunity from start to finish
  • Experience with trade shows in the government space.
  • Must be capable of building and managing multiple business pipelines.
  • Ability to create and or modify material specifically tailored to targeted opportunities. This requires the ability to work and interact with both company executives as well as technical talent.
  • Must be able to understand and discuss advanced technological concepts, particularly in the realms of communication and information technology
  • Knowledge of GSA schedule/sales
  • Eligible for a clearance

The ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Experience with business development in small company environment; experience with business development in small/startup companies in technology
  • Experience with business development in small/startup companies selling technology to government customers.
  • Proven experience selling information technology products to US Government in a small to mid-sized company, proven experience in securing services contracts related to a small to mid-sized company’s product.
  • Bring an existing network/relationship to utilize in the role
  • Ability to work well with a marketing partner to advance development and sales
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Strong negotiation skills
