Business Process SpecialistGreen Circle Growers was founded in 1968 by John van Wingerden. With just a few acres, Green Circle Growers began selling to other companies like variety stores, lumber yards, hardware stores, and grocery stores. Today, Green Circle Growers is still owned and operated by the van Wingerden family and has grown to over 150 acres of indoor growing space. Our state-of-the-art greenhouses offer many different environments to keep up with the demanding mix of products that today's market expects. We now provide plants to regional and national stores across the United States and Canada. We are able to market and offer broad products to mass merchants, as well as to growers. The retail market expects the full line of annuals in flats, containers, and baskets. The grower line produces pre-finished containers, plugs, and liners.Position Overview:The Business Process Specialist supports the Business Solutions team in documenting, analyzing, and improving operational processes across the organization. This role focuses on process mapping, ERP workflow support, documentation standardization, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives.This position partners with Business Process Owners, IT, and functional teams to ensure processes are clearly defined, optimized, and aligned with system capabilities.Job Duties:Process Documentation & Analysis Document current-state and future-state processes using tools such as SIPOC, process flows, and work instructions Assist in identifying process gaps and improvement opportunities Support cross-functional workshops to gather process requirements Maintain process documentation repository and ensure version controlERP & Systems Support Work with IT and business stakeholders to document ERP functional requirements Support testing of ERP changes and enhancements Assist with end-to-end solution validation and post-go-live follow-up Maintain understanding of ERP workflows and business system functionalityContinuous Improvement Support Support Lean or Kaizen events through data collection, documentation, and follow-up Track improvement initiatives and report progress metrics Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) Support compliance validation of documented processesMetrics & Reporting Help establish and maintain operational dashboards Monitor process performance metrics and identify trends Support data analysis for improvement initiativesChange Support Assist in training material development Support communication plans for process updates Partner with leadership to reinforce adoption of new processesQualifications and Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field or equivalent experience 35+ years of experience in business process documentation and operational process improvement Experience in operations, distribution, or order-to-cash in a similar industry preferred Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, etc.), with experience in ERP implementation preferred Experience mapping processes and writing SOPs Familiarity with Lean principles, Lean Green Belt preferred Strong experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Visio, and various analysis tools Analytical mindset with attention to detail Strong communication skills across functional teamsPhysical Environment & Requirements: Climate-controlled office or home office environment Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking Frequently requires sitting, standing, fine dexterity, and handling Occasionally requires walking, climbing stairs, lifting (up to 20lbs), carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, and crouching Rarely requires climbing
