Our internship program will provide students with exposure to various facets of business operations, foster talent development and potential future employment opportunities.The Lateral Partner Recruiting Intern provides hands-on administrative and operational support within the Lateral Partner Recruiting department at Jackson Walker. This role offers exposure to professional services operations within a large law firm environment and supports day-to-day activities, projects, and initiatives while developing foundational professional skills.Please note that applications to the internship program will close February 28th, 2026. We encourage interested candidates to apply before the deadline.Department: Lateral Partner RecruitingReports To: Director of Lateral Partner RecruitingLocation: AustinFLSA: Non-Exempt / TemporaryInternship Dates: June 1st, 2026 - July 24th, 2026Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssist with daily departmental operations, projects, and administrative tasks.Conduct research, compile data, and prepare reports or presentations.Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and observations.Collaborate with team members on short-term and ongoing assignments.Attend firm orientation and departmental overview sessions.Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.Maintain confidentiality of firm, client, and personnel information.QualificationsHigh school senior, current college student, or post-graduate student (within two years of graduation).Coursework in Business, Finance, Operations, Communications, Technology, or a related field preferred, or demonstrated interest in professional services or law firm operations.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, professional environment.Demonstrated initiative, attention to detail, and professionalism.Work ConditionsThis position operates in a professional office environment with minimal exposure to excessive noise or temperature variations. Standard work hours may vary by department need and may require up to 37.5 hours per week.The expected work schedule for this position is on-site 10:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Thursday.The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
